Business Development Rep / Inside Sales


Forian provides a unique suite of SaaS solutions, data management capabilities and proprietary data and analytics to optimize and measure operational, clinical and financial performance for customers within the traditional and emerging life sciences, healthcare payer and provider segments, as well as cannabis dispensaries, manufacturers, cultivators and regulators.


We are seeking a highly motivated, metrics driven sales development specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is self-motivated and team oriented, has comfort and experience in a high-volume cold calling sales environment, and has experience in the licensed cannabis industry. This team member will use all modes of research and communication to generate interest in Forian’s industry leading cannabis technology and data solutions, resulting in scheduled appointments with Forian sales executives.


  • Conduct high volume cold calling for lead generation for account executives within the Forian cannabis segment
  • Execute a cadence of email based lead generation working in concert with Forian marketing team
  • Identify new opportunities using various research and market intelligence tools
  • Gather real time market intelligence from daily interactions with prospects, diligently recording in company systems to feed the product, marketing, and sales continuous development loops
  • Attend virtual trade shows, meetups, and conferences as needed


  • 2+ years of business development / inside sales experience within SaaS technology which supports the licensed cannabis industry
  • Position is remote, but candidate must reside within one of the following states: FL, GA, MD, NJ, TX or WA
  • Experience with high volume of phone calls to generate new leads
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Executive presentation skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to understand and discuss technology products
  • Ability to comfortably operate in a metrics based environment in order to execute, measure, and adjust strategies and tactics.
  • Ability to spot and communicate trends for continuous improvement and identification of new opportunities
