Senior UX Manager


We are seeking a talented and innovative Senior UX Manager to drive user experience and deliver best-in-class customer experiences for Forian’s SaaS solutions. The UX manager will focus on the next generation of our BioTrack solutions for the cannabis industry, including point-of-sale, manufacturing, and cultivation products. They must develop a deep grounding in complex customer use cases to generate intuitive and user-friendly workflows that satisfy our clients’ commercial needs while fulfilling industry compliance standards. The UX designer will partner closely with the product and engineering teams to deliver workflows that advance critical features and functionalities. The ideal candidate should be passionate about translating varied, complex, and regulated requirements into user journeys that not only make our clients more productive and profitable, but also make their work more seamless and enjoyable.


  • Be a passionate advocate for user experience and embody the voice of the customer
  • Design information architecture and product workflows that provide a best-in-class and intuitive customer experience while supporting complex and regulated tasks
  • Conduct user and competitor research to ground findings and approaches in real-life use cases
  • Partner closely with product and engineering teams to understand and support functional requirements
  • Ideate on new product visions in collaboration with business stakeholders and clients, conducting market research and competitive analyses
  • Translate ideas and concepts into workable wireframes and user task flow diagrams
  • Communicate and present to key stakeholders, including executive leadership, regarding user needs and information architecture solutions
  • Define success criteria, conduct usability tests, and measure and report on client satisfaction with our product workflows, ensuring our products are intuitive with readily discoverable features and robust functionalities
  • Connect frequently with clients via interviews and surveys and leverage usage analytics to better understand our clients’ current and future needs
  • Partner closely with client support and sales to recognize and address pain points in the user experience
  • Conduct ongoing competitive research and make recommendations based on best practices both within and outside the cannabis industry


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (preferably in a technical discipline)
  • 5+ years of UX design or equivalent
  • Track record of deploying user interface standards and conventions, and delivering high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, storyboards and site maps that successfully deliver upon both product specifications and user psychology
  • Knowledge of standard UX industry tools such as Balsamiq, Figma, Miro, Adobe, Zeplin, InVision, and Sketch as well as testing tools such as UserTesting, Qualaroo, Optimizely, and Google Analytics
  • Ability to test navigation flows and interface elements to optimize product performance
  • Knowledge of how to leverage UX research techniques to better understand and build upon user behaviors and needs
  • Adept at communicating design rationale and outstanding communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Able to partner and building stakeholder relationships across the organization — including c-suite, product managers, developers, data scientists, sales, and customer support — listening to input, responding to feedback, and building vision for customer experience
  • Passionate about building simple, seamless user experiences integrating UX/UI best practices and ability to fiercely advocate for the user / customer
  • Attention to detail and mastery of information design


  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or related field
  • High-energy, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience working remotely and able to toggle between working autonomously and as part of a remote team
  • Experience working professionally in the Cannabis industry
  • Experience in developing retail POS (point of sale) or other supply chain workflows
  • Experience creating workflows in highly regulated industries
  • Superb problem solving skills including a passion for finding solutions to complex interface and workflow challenges
  • Strong understanding of design theory and concepts to create effective and appealing visual communication
