  • 3+ years of experience in AWS, Databricks, or Snowflake and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with data within these environments.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare claims data (e.g., medical, pharmacy, dental), including data structures, common data elements, and relevant industry standards, with a strong aptitude for identifying novel applications of this data.
  • Exceptional SQL skills with a strong track record of writing complex, efficient, and well-documented queries for data exploration and prototyping.
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, prototyping, and potentially contributing to data pipeline development within a cloud environment.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to established GitHub repositories, showcasing a commitment to high-quality, well-tested, and collaborative code development practices. Please be prepared to share examples of your contributions.
  • A strong predisposition towards identifying opportunities for and building scalable data solutions that can form the basis of new products.
  • A keen ability to inspect questions and requests from a variety of stakeholders, identify the most exciting or valuable underlying aspects for new product potential, and effectively communicate and energize others around these innovative possibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently explore complex datasets and identify potential product opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical findings, product ideas, and architectural considerations.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset with a strong interest in exploring new data sources and technologies for product development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering) or an MBA with a technical focus.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) for demonstrating the potential of new data products.
  • Experience working with other healthcare-related data (e.g., EMR/EHR, clinical trial data) and identifying potential product synergies.
  • Knowledge of market trends and opportunities within the healthcare, life sciences, and consumer analytics spaces.
